Re-enable .5 Map Ratings

Re-enable .5 ratings on maps (eg: 1.5, 4.5, etc.); this gives the rater a lot more freedom.

        I Agree with The_Mingler. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING. Or at least the admins leave a comment here so people can know if you are doing something about and that were not wasting our time trying to get this back.

        Out of all the cool suggestions on this Uservoice page, this old suggestion is #1. I hope that makes Arachnid more willing to at least consider bringing it back. *crosses fingers*

        How about the range of voting be between 0 to 6. Then 3 would be 'average'. But this would seriously screw up all the ratings if all maps and their respective ratings were converted to this scale. Or perhaps we at least include 2.5 back into the scale so we have an average.

        I honestly believe that before half-ratings were abolished, members were more generous or less thoughtful with their votes; however, I believe it has made members more considerable and responsible when voting. That's why I say reimplement .5 ratings because we've earned it.

        Sorry to rattle on, but I have to admit that my last post was a bit off. I stand by the bit about "the problem" is the difference in your opinion and the public's, but I didn't give you enough ground on the first part, which Exuberance addressed. Mostly though, I see plenty of rounding both ways, and it seems to me like getting rid of .5's has mostly just been an annoyance that people have worked around - I don't think it has inflated the ratings significantly. They got inflated on their own. (And so you see, I'm right with you on the overrating on NUMA, but it's just not related to this issue)
