I suggest you ...

add an edit post option.

NUMA needs one, it cuts down on random typos, double/triple posting and just makes it easier to use and nicer to look at.

I have an idea that might work here: wait a minute before displaying new posts to everyone.

When a user makes a post, display it in the comments section on their screen only, and let them edit it if there is a problem. If they don't within a minute, make it permanent and display it to the world. This would allow people to check for typos and fix BBCode while maintaining the permanence posting on NUMA.

Also: yes, I did get this idea from Gmail.

I must admit I like the permanence of NUMA posts as well. I mean, the forums operate just fine on editable posts, but then again the forums are centered around posts, while NUMA is not. That makes NUMA harder to control and harder to police, and that could lead to problems. I think we should get the opinion of some mods.

I agree, but it may not be that easy to implement depending on how NUMA works. I have no idea how NUMA works, but from what I've gathered it's hard to modify things without completely redoing the system. I don't know, though.
