I suggest you ...

Comment/Demo history?

It'd be great if you could search comments you've made on other people's maps, similar to the post history function you have on the forums.

I'll often comment on someone's map and forgot which one it was a few days later, to see if there was any response to it.

Thanks for your consideration.

When i enter the nmaps.net, i see a message that says "You have # maps with unread comments".

I want to see another message under it: "There is new comments on # maps that you've commented before".

        It would be great!

I'am agree with Erin. This site is bad. Some members write somethimes very hurting things like: you will never support anything in life and you IQ has a number of 10 and that things.I really wanted that Numa choose new and good mods.

I submitted my maps here because it is the onlies site where you can do it. But, if there was another, I shall take that other one. For every little fault, a map that just isn't good enoug for the mods, you got bad commentary and sometiles delisting. Also people who write very offending comments (ok I wrote sometimes back). Same maps where I took ours on to make rating: 0/5. That is why I give this site a 0/10. I hope in the future that this site will improve, otherless, I hope someone will host another site because this one is really bad.

Actually, I don't have anything against the comment/demo history suggestion.

I was responding to the comment below mine about getting a notification when someone posts on a map you've posted on. (There have been two comments this month on Afternoondragon Step04. Imagine how many notifications would have been sent out if that system were in place.)

What's wrong with that, player_03? This feature is basically the same as the egosearch feature on the forums ("view your posts"). That's a long list too, but who would deny its usefulness?

What if you could get notifications that others commented on maps that you previously commented on (like facebook) ?

Perhaps a simple implementation similar to YouTube and other comment/rating sites, which a user will be notified to a reply or beaten demo?

      • saykosayko commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

I'm adding maps which i commented and posted a demo to my favorite list, and i'm checking out my favourite map list often.

Actually, it would imagine it would be easy to implement. Simply store an array of integers on each person's profile, where the numbers are the maps commented on. It could maybe remember the last 16 maps? Assumiing a 32-bit intenger, that's only 64 bytes per member, less than most even slightly descriptive comments on NUMA.

Yes. I agree with that as it has happened to me often. It would be a large new feature in NUMA which I look forward to confidently.

This would be awesome, because that happens ALL THE TIME.
It'd probably be implausible to implement though. :(
But on the other hand, this suggestion hasn't been rejected...
