allow "Other maps by this author" to show newer maps as well
Sometimes when I browse maps on NUMA, I feel the need to go in chronologically forwards, not just playing an author's previous maps. The implementation of this small feature would add an entirely new dimension to the flow of searching for maps on NUMA.

So, how much demand is enough? I think it's pretty good that this is 5th ranked when it's a rather small issue. Also, there aren't any comments in disagreement here -- not that no one will disagree, just that the disagree-ers probably aren't that abundant.

Wait, I've been reading this page chronologically backwards. Nevermind!

Err, that's obviously not the case, nexx. Did you read what arachnid said? It's easily implementable.

This really bugs me. Ideally, a scroll system should be put in place, but I don't know how implement-able that is or how many maps it is limited to scroll through. If not, three newer and three older maps. Without exception, of course, because consistency is always better.

Well that depends on what maps you're looking at. If you're browsing the newest page, you'll only be looking for older maps. If, on the other hand, you're looking at a featured map, you'd like to see older and newer stuff. But in any case, if the 3 older/3 newer thing were implemented, would a user's newest map show 6 older maps or still just 3?

It's certainly possible. I even had exactly this in place while I was still working on Newma, but concluded that it was more useful to show only older maps, since most people find maps through the newest one.
If there's enough demand, I can certainly change it back, though.

So, Arachnid, is this possible or what?

Well, it shows six maps. Three before and three after would work great, except for on the newest three, which would just have more older ones than newer.

I was going to do it, but you beat me.I dunno, maybe center in the middle with a red border, then 2 in front and back???

Absolutely agreed. This has long been an annoyance for me. But perhaps it's difficult to implement because the 1 or 2 newest maps by an author would need to be made an exception to the rule or something. I just feel like for something this simple, if it hasn't alread been implemented, there's probably a good reason for it.
